I have lived in the Bay of Plenty for most of my life and I have worked in Early Childhood centres for many years. My interests include reading and gardening, and spending time with my family. I have two sons, a granddaughter and many other family members who live nearby.
I completed a Bachelor of Education through Massey University in 2007. I have been with St Peters for four years. I have worked with all age groups of children in Early Childhood education and I am currently working in our Explorers Room with infants and toddlers. I am passionate about providing care and education relevant to the unique stage of development of this age group. I believe in the value of primary caregiving in the centre environment and I am inspired by the work and theories of Emmi Pickler (McBride, 2008) and Magda Gerber (2002).
