Kia ora, I am Anita and I have been a teacher here at St Peters Childcare since late 2007. I finished my Bachelors Degree in November 2011 and am very happy that my studies are over so that I can focus more on my teaching practices.
I have 3 children - two daughters and a son, two of which attended St Peters with me. Being a mum was probably my biggest inspiration to becoming an Early Childhood teacher as well as the fact that I grew up with lots of children around me – as I got older there were still lots of children around me as my family and friends just seem to produce an endless supply of children! I also find myself intrigued with young children more so because I meet them at such a young age and explore, discover, learn and become intrigued with what the world has to offer them. From the yearly seasons, to all their asked reasons … there is so much for them to learn and I enjoy being here for them.
